The ATC Super Sterasyl Gravity Filter Candle
An addition to the British Berkefeld Gravity Filter range of candles is the ATC Super Sterasyl. This has been introduced to help reduce the impurities not removed by the standard Super Sterasyl candle. These include trace Organics such as Insecticides, Herbicides, Phenols, Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons and Trihalomethanes plus, Inorganics such as free Chlorine and Lead.

Until now these impurities were only removed by the Doulton Supercarb and Ultracarb candle grades which are not compatible with the gravity filters.

TIME STRIP®
This ingenious little device monitors the length of time your filter has been in service and is being supplied free with every time dependent filter.
Filter performance deteriorates with time, so manufacturers recommend an interval between filter changes. This is typically 6 months however, filter replacement is generally not the most important thing on most peoples minds.
The Time Strip® monitors your filter for you. Just stick it onto a surface out of sight, but one you look at frequetly, for example the back of the kitchen sink cupboard door then, when replacement time come close just order your replacement so that it is available when the change is indicated.

Doulton's New CleanSoft Candle.
If you use a jug filter you might like to consider this alternative way of getting the same quality water.This new candle fits into the Doulton standard HIP/HIS housing. It contains a medium that removes the scale forming hardness in water without adding Sodium, giving you jug filtered water from your drinking water faucet.
