AVONSOFT WATER SOFTENERS
AVONSOFT TSP WATER SOFTENERS

TSP LOGO AH6 & AC6 TSP
AC6TSP This range of water softeners contain a break tank incorporating a Type 'AB' air gap. There is a current UK Bylaw requiring commercial dishwashers to be fitted with a dedicated pipe from tank storage or an air gap in the water supply pipe. Many now have this fitted as an integral item however, there are still some imported models that do not contain one.
The TSP range of Water Softeners allow these dishwashers to be connected directly to any water supply pipe, either HOT or COLD without specialised plumbing. The air gap conforms to BS EN13077 2003. As all the items are enclosed within a single cabinet miminal space is required plus, there are no interconnecting pipe exposed to collect grease and dirt.
The softened water from these softeners is boosted via an internal pump, so additional dishwasher pumps are unnecessary, the pump running is controlled by the dishwasher soleniods.
Many combination or steaming ovens also require an air gap and the TSP range has proved suitable for this equipment. The models are modified slightly with the addition of a small pressure boost set to control the pump running. This booster set is contained within the single cabinet.

**Capacity assumes a water hardness of 20° Clarks (278mg/ltr as CaCO3)
To size the softeners with dishwashers, it's easier to assume 1 gallon per dishwasher rack, therefore the AH6TSP or AC6TSP will provide sufficient soft water for 300 racks ( 20° Clarks hardness). If it is likely the kitchen daily meals total will exceed this rack total, fit the AH15TSP or AC15TSP detailed below
If you know the water hardness, use the chart on the left to find how many racks a model will soften. Simply locate your hardness on the vertical scale then, where each model's line crosses it, move vertically down to find the rack capacity.

15TSP LOGO AH15 & AC15 TSP
AH15TSP WATER SOFTENER These models have all the attributes of the softeners described above, in addition they have an integral pressure boost system as standard. Unlike the smaller models above, there is no direct connection to the dishwasher. The pump operation is controlled by sensing water pressure fluctuations.
They are intended for connection to the larger commercial dishwashers (typically the conveyor type) and contain a larger water softener to cater for the much greater throughput generally associated with this size of machine. HOT and COLD water models are available.
Whilst a larger softener, minimal space is required plus, all associated pipework is contained within the single cabinet offering an hygienic environment.
A third model in this range is the DUAL TSP. It is essentially the same as the AH15TSP execpt that it has been modified to take both HOT and COLD water. This model is fitted to dishwashing machines requiring both hot and cold water supplies. This unit offers considerable savings in both capital expenditure and space requirements over two seperate softeners.

PLEASE NOTE:- Some specifiers require the softener to be raised off the floor for cleaning and hygienic reasons. If this is the case refer to the section on SOFTENER PLATFORMS.
