The cartridge utilizes a special fine mesh activated alumna that has been pre-conditioned specifically for single use cartridge application. Laboratory evaluations have demonstrated that this pre-conditioning step will increase the capacity to as high as 11000 ppm F+ with effluent levels below 0.2 ppm from 100 ppm F+ feed High pH, high bicarbonate levels and high flow rates all adversely affect the capacity of the cartridge. For the best results, do not exceed recommended flow rates an pH conditions. For influent streams above 100 ppm of bicarbonate, reduce capacity by 50%, above 200 ppm reduce capacity by 75%.
