NITRATE REDUCTION FILTER

Nitrogen, used by farmers as a fertilizer to encourage crop growth has found its way into many water courses, resulting in some rural areas having very high nitrate levels in their water supply, especially those with private sources. This polutant can have an adverse effect on very young babies. This filter has been developed to simply overcome this problem.

The EEC drinking water directive sets the amount of Nitrate in UK drinking water to an upper limit of 50mgl/NO3. Premises having water supplies with levels above this figure are required to reduce the amount of Nitrate to at least the upper limit. The NITRA - 10 filter is a cost effective point of use treatment to achieve this value. The cartridge has a strong polypropylene outer case complete with spun-bonded propylene pre and post filters with a 20 micron rating. Contained inside is a high porousity, high capacity media that provides an excellent and proven capacity for Nitrate removal, and is specifically designed for short retention times.
