prepared some years ago and may not reflect the actual water hardness currently
supplied. The Water Companies are endeavouring to grid the system allowing them
to move water to areas experiencing shortage. It does show the status as at
1985, and gives a general indication of hard and soft water areas. For the
future however, if you are being supplied with soft water now your supply
