HOT WATER SOFTENERS

AH6 & AH10 This range of Avonsoft water softeners unlike the TSP series do not contain a break tank, they are especially designed for dishwashers having their own integral Type 'AA' air gap. They are configured as single cabinet type softeners, with consideration given to minimal space generally available around dishwashing machines in commercial kitchens. HERE THE SIMILARITY WITH ANY OTHER SINGLE CABINET HOT WATER SOFTENER ENDS. AVONSOFT Single Cabinet Hot Water Softeners are two separate containers within a single cabinet. One housing the softening vessel, the other the salt. This configuration prevent's heat transfer, causing the salt to encrust on the softening vessel and evaporating the brine solution.

In most cases the AH6 would be appropriate however, in extremely busy kitchens the AH10 would be more suited. To size the softeners with dishwashers, it's easier to assume 1 gallon per dishwasher rack, therefore the AH6 will provide sufficient soft water for 300 racks ( 20° Clarks hardness). If it is unlikely the kitchen daily meals total will exceed this rack total, fit the AH6 otherwise fit the AH10. If you know the water hardness, use the chart on the left to find how many racks a model will soften. Simply locate your hardness on the vertical scale then, where each model's line crosses it, move vertically down to find the rack capacity.
